The Invisalign treatments involve like a series of plastic tray aligners that will move the teeth in short distances within the mouth. And the end result is where all the teeth are nicely aligned and the bite is balanced where patients can function and look good at the same time.
Anybody with misaligned teeth is a good candidate for Invisalign treatment. Or if, for some reason, somebody wants to change something about their smile where it includes just moving teeth is a good candidate for Invisalign treatment. So if you're a good candidate for braces treatment, you're a good candidate for Invisalign.
Now, the treatment that we compare it to is traditional braces, and traditional braces include putting brackets on teeth and moving the teeth in different directions so we can get end results where everything is aligned. And Invisalign can do something very similar. The treatment process involve, of course, the diagnosis, the treatment planning, when we'll see what can be done and what's possible. And then impressions and sometimes scans are taken and sent to the company that makes the aligners. That company will now create some digital representation of what the end result will be.
So then you can sit down with the patient, you can actually see every movement that's going to be achieved with the aligners at every stage of the process. And then, once you accept the end result, the patient likes the end result, and then the company is going to make the series of aligners, and then the patient will now wear each aligner for a period of about two weeks. And at the end, we'll get the result that we predicted.
